Private Referrals Should you require to be referred for a Private Consultation, you will need to do the following:

  • attend an appointment with the GP to discuss
  • book your own private appointment with the Consultant of your choice
  • inform the Doctor who is writing the referral of the name of the Consultant you will be seeing
  • collect the referral letter from the Surgery
  • be responsible for payment of any costs incurring from your private appointment

Private Medicals All private medicals (ie. HGV medical, PSV medical, Jockey medical, Driving medical etc.) incur a charge. We request that 50% of the cost of the medical is paid in advance before we can confirm your medical appointment. 

Fees Certain services provided by your Doctor are NOT covered by the NHS and you will be asked to pay a fee for:

  • Private Sick Note
  • Insurance Claim Forms
  • Private Medicals
  • Private Letters
  • Fitness to Drive/Fly Certificates
  • Pre-Employment Medicals
  • HGV/PSV Medicals
  • BUPA/WPA/PPP etc. Claim Forms

Please ask at reception for current prices. The above services will take between 4 to 6 weeks to be completed by a GP Partner. Due to high volumes they may sometimes take longer.

Smoking Cessation

The Practice supports and encourages any smokers who wish to stop smoking.  To self-refer please contact them on:

Maternity Care

The Antenatal clinic is organised by the Midwife direct with the patient.

Your Doctor or Midwife will advise when to attend. All Doctors take an active interest in antenatal and post-natal care.

Ladies can however buy a pregnancy test from the chemist and if the result is positive, may be given details of how to obtain an appointment with the midwife without seeing the Doctor.

Baby and Child Development

Bawtry Baby Clinic is held in the Cabin in Bawtry Health Centre car park and are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at the following times:

1.00pm – 2.00pm Post Natal Group

2.00pm – 3.30pm Baby Clinic

5.00pm – 6.30pm (1st Tuesday of each month)

Blaxton Village Hall – altgernate Wednesdays 10.00am – 11.30am

X-Ray, Pathology and other Test Results

Results of tests etc may be available by telephone, but in some cases you may be asked to make an appointment to see a Doctor. If you are telephoning for results, please do so after 11.00am

Monday to Friday.

If the test has been requested by a Hospital Consultant, please contact the Consultant’s secretary for your results
