Minor Surgery


The Practice is equipped to perform a range of minor surgical procedures at our Bawtry Surgery. Please see the Doctor first, who will assess your problem.



Contraceptive Services


All Doctors are happy to provide the complete range of contraceptive services and advice, by appointment only.

If you are considering the contraceptive implant or coil fitting please book an appointment with the GP to discuss.



X-Ray, Pathology and other Test Results


When requesting test results they may be available by telephone, but sometimes you may be asked to make an appointment to see a Doctor. Please phone for your test results after 11.00am

Monday to Friday.

If the test has been requested by a hospital consultant, please contact the Consultant’s secretary for your results





Baby and Child Development



Bawtry Baby Clinic is held in the Portacabin in Bawtry Health Centre car park on Tuesday afternoons at the following times:


1.00pm - 2.00pm Post Natal Group

2.00pm - 3.30pm Baby Clinic

5.00pm - 6.30pm (1st Tuesday of each month)

10.00am - 11.10am Blaxton Village Hall (Alternate Wednesdays)

Maternity Care



The Antenatal clinic is run on Wednesday Mornings at Bawtry.


Your Doctor or Midwife will advise when to attend. All Doctors take an active interest in antenatal and post-natal care.


Ladies can however buy a pregnancy test from the chemist and if the result is positive, may be given details of how to obtain an appointment with the midwife without seeing the Doctor.


Smoking Cessation



The surgery supports and encourages any smokers who wish to stop smoking. We can refer patients to outside agencies who offer smoking cessation advice and also prescribe a range of different treatments to enable the process of trying to stop more achievable.
